H10 Costa Adeje Palace
Playa La Enramada, S/n

An all-inclusive resort catering to families and couples, the H10 Costa Adeje looms large as a 467-room property. Guest rooms are spacious and sunny, with contemporary decor, furnished balconies, flat-screen TVs, and free Wi-Fi. Bathrooms suffer from some loud orange tiles, but they all have tub/shower combos. With three pools, three restaurants, fitness and wellness facilities, and a kids’ club, the property offers all the amenities expected for an upscale property at this level. The hotel’s beach, however, is narrow, rocky and not quite appealing. Guests looking to take a dip in the ocean can use the free shuttle bus service to Las Americas or walk to Playa del Duque, one of Costa Adeje’s best beaches. Overall, the resort has all the trappings of a Canary Islands vacation, but it's not as tasteful as the H10 Gran Tinerfe

Tagoro Family & Fun
Galicia 3, Torviscas - Alto, Zona Centro

Tagoro Family & Fun Costa Adeje is an upscale family-focused resort located in Costa de Adeje, on a relatively quiet road that's a 15-minute walk uphill from Fanabe Beach. The 194 rooms here used to be apartments until the property was transformed into a hotel in the 2000s and, as such, run large, with separate bedrooms and living rooms plus big balconies. Amenities are focused squarely on children, with three pools (one with a lazy river), a playground, a great kids' club, and special rooms with PlayStations and toys. For adults, there's considerably less -- just a salon-type spa -- although alcohol is included in the all-inclusive rate and evening entertainment is geared toward everyone. Those traveling without children should look at the adult-only Iberostar Grand Hotel El Mirador, which is right on Playa del Duque and has a fancy spa.

Hotel Villa de Adeje Beach
Avenida Pueblos 41

The 120-room Hotel Villa de Adeje Beach is an all-inclusive property geared towards travelers on a budget. Two outdoor pools -- one heated and one large enough for laps -- are nice amenities, but other features including the buffet restaurant and fitness center are quite basic. Apartments and Studios are spacious but no-frills with patterned bedspreads and functional furniture. The location within walking distance of beaches is convenient, and there are lots of restaurants, bars, and shops nearby but this dated, basic property charges extra fees for everything from Wi-Fi to the in-room safe to the coin-operated TVs.

HOVIMA Costa Adeje
Avenida Ernesto Sarti, 8

Formerly the Luabay Costa Adeje, this hotel is now a mid-range, adult-only all-inclusive with a somewhat quieter vibe than nearby hotels. While marketed as a luxury property, rooms are pleasant but just average, with basic blonde wood furniture and typical amenities such as flat-screen TVs and mini-fridges. There are two restaurants, a small spa, a basic but modern fitness center, and daily entertainment. But the highlight here are the pools, especially the infinity-edge one on a higher floor, which features wonderful ocean and sunset views. The hotel offers good value overall -- just beware of the many extra fees. Those with kids (not permitted here) may prefer the similarly priced Iberostar Bouganville Playa.

PlayaOlid Suites & Apartments
Avenida Ernesto Sarti 18

Playa Olid is a family-friendly mid-range hotel located a 10-minute walk from the beach. The property has 202 studios and one-bedroom apartments with flat-screen TVs, fully stocked kitchenettes, and balconies or terraces. Most units have received top-to-bottom renovations and are contemporary and comfortable -- but non-renovated rooms are somewhat drab and in need of urgent updates. The buffet restaurant offers a good spread, and the two pools (although small) are pleasant spots for lazy days in the sun. There is little else in the way of amenities, but for an inexpensive family vacation near the beach, Playa Olid is a good pick.

GF Fanabe
Avenida Bruselas, 13

The Fañabé Costa Sur is an upper-middle-range all-inclusive a short walk from Fañabé, Costa Adeje’s largest beach. Rooms are bright, clean and feature balconies, but they’re also a little dated, with basic wooden furniture. There are three pools -- including a large one with a kiddy section and two smaller ones on the rooftop deck with ocean views; plenty of options for those who want to stay active; a small spa; and three bars -- but food is just average and a little repetitive, and there are always long queues for breakfast.

Iberostar Bouganville Playa
Eugenio Dominguez, 23, San Eugenio Beach

This Iberostar is a large, upper-middle-range family-friendly beachfront resort located near bars, restaurants and shops, and adjacent to a small sandy beach. With two large pools; entertainment both for kids and adults; a well-equipped fitness center; two restaurants; and several meal plans, the hotel appeals to a broad range of travelers. Renovated rooms look fresh and contemporary, with all-white decor and a few bright accents. For a slightly more luxurious stay at very similar rates, travelers may want to compare prices at H10 Gran Tinerfe, located a few blocks away and also directly on the beach.

Vincci Seleccion La Plantacion del Sur
C/ Roque Nublo 1, Sector 8 Fanabe

Smaller in size than many of its neighboring hotels, La Plantación del Sur is a serene, luxurious hotel located a few blocks from one of the nicest beaches in Costa Adeje. Elegant Canarian colonial decor, solid amenities -- such as flat-screen TVs, pillow menus, and minibars -- and upscale bathrooms make rooms appealing and romantic. And all units have furnished balconies or terraces, some with outdoor hot tubs. With four beautiful pools, two solid restaurants, a great spa set in a volcanic cave, kid-friendly amenities, and a well-equipped fitness center with group classes, this hotel is a great pick for leisure travelers. Neighboring Bahía del Duque offers many more on-site features, but it is also more expensive and busier.

Tinerfe Garden
Avenida Pueblos 24, San Eugenio

The lower-middle-range Tinerfe Garden provides basic apartment-style rooms in sunny Costa Adeje. Rock-bottom prices mean limited amenities and a reluctance to renovate, but a nice pool keeps budget-conscious guests happy. Drinks and snacks are well-priced both poolside and at the indoor bar, although there's no full restaurant. The 78 self-catering rooms are outfitted in homey decor, plus flat-screen TVs, terraces, and full kitchens. However, there's no AC, and fees are required for fans, safes, hairdryers, and Wi-Fi. Although strategically situated near beaches, shops, and vibrant nightlife, the property itself is removed and peaceful. Vacationing travelers come here for sun and simplicity, but families may want to consider Neptuno Aparthotel, which has more for kids.

Los Olivos Beach Resort
Calle Paris 1, Urbanizacion Playa De Fanabe

The two-and-a-half-pearl Los Olivos Beach Resort offers basic apartment-style rooms, right on Playa de Fanabe's beach strip. The 221 straightforward junior suites and apartments prioritize function over flair, with their plain decor. Solid amenities, however, include well-equipped kitchenettes, satellite flat-screen TVs, and private balconies, though safes requires fees and not all have AC. An outdoor pool and private stretch of beach are appealing, and guests have access to a pool, spa, gym, and dining facilities at the adjacent sister hotel. Food here gets mixed reviews, although the bars are popular. All-inclusive packages waive irritating Beach Club fees. Families should compare features and rates with the more kid-friendly HOVIMAR Santa Maria Hotel, which also offers parking.
