Eix Lagotel
Circuit del Llac s/n, Urbanizacion las Gaviotas

The Eix Lagotel is a three-pearl, family-friendly hotel set overlooking a lake on the outskirts of the laid-back Playa de Muro resort. Its 340 rooms and apartments are split between two buildings, with most modernized and many featuring scenic views over the lake or neighboring nature reserve. The location does mean mosquitos can be an issue and its set away from the beach and nightlife, though a free shuttle service is very frequent. Most guest go all-inclusive covering decent, if limited, buffet dining and self-serve drinks. Two pool areas, sports facilities, and entertainment keep guests occupied. The complex lacks polish in places and few will find the location ideal, but budget-minded families can score a great value vacation that will tick most of the boxes. Another cheap option with fewer facilities though closer to nightlife is the Apartamentos Siesta I.

Viva Blue & Spa
Passeig de Bateman, s/n

The Viva Blue & Spa Aparthotel is an upscale, resort-style complex set in extensive grounds in the low-key Alcudia Bay resort of Playa de Muro. Unlike many similar properties, the setting is not beachfront, but the lovely stretch of sand is across a main road and a five-minute walk away. Leisure facilities are undeniably outstanding, with four pools (including a heated training pool), a spa, cycle center, and mini-club for the little ones. Dining also impresses, with quality food across both buffet and a la carte eateries, plus there's an all-inclusive option and other plans available. Every one of its 265 units comes with a kitchenette, separate lounge, and opens to a balcony, terrace, or garden. The aparthotel is a particularly solid package with something for everyone, but for sea views and direct beach access Hotel Playa Esperanza is also a top-tier option with both.

Hotel Roc Continental Park
C/ Iola, 4

The two-and-a-half-pearl Hotel Roc Continental Park is a budget-friendly, all-inclusive chain hotel located in the low-key resort of Playa de Muro. While the setting isn't beachfront, a long and picturesque beach is a five-minutes stroll away, with various dining options on the way. As expected, there's a lively pool area with animation programs and plenty for the kids, though dining is limited to a buffet restaurant and snack bar. The '70s-era property is certainly showing its age and is ripe for renovation, but still popular with value-oriented families and couples. Rooms are split between 155 double rooms and roughly 20 one-bedroom apartments -- a good option for families as these sleep four. Another option to consider could be the similarly priced Eix Lagotel; it offers updated rooms and more sports facilities, though its farther from the beach.

BQ Alcudia Sun Village
C/ Circuito del Lago 60

The mid-range BQ Alcudia Sun Village is a family-oriented complex located in the quiet Playa de Muro resort halfway along Alcudia Bay. The property is set on the edge of a nature reserve (meaning mosquitos can be an issue), though within easy reach of dining and the lovely long beach. Rooms and apartments are bright and all equipped for at least basic cooking, plus some have lake-view balconies. Children are particularly well-catered for -- with kids' clubs, playgrounds, and pirate-themed splash park -- while a large lagoon-style pool is large enough for everyone. Travelers preferring sea views, however, should consider the Iberostar Albufera Playa, which also has more for adults in the form of spa facilities.

Hotel Playa Esperanza
Avenida Albufera 4

Hotel Playa Esperanza is an immaculately-presented, four-pearl property set in extensive and attractive grounds with direct access to picturesque Playa de Muro beach. Together with the hotel's public spaces, its 338 guest rooms have been updated with a fresh contemporary finish, plus most balconies feature at least partial sea views; street-facing rooms can get traffic noise. Half-board rates come as standard and food is quite good. This, coupled with access to an excellent range of pools and a deluxe spa, make it one of the better picks in the area for both couples and families. As an alternative, compare rates with the even swisher and sportier Las Gaviotas Suites Hotel just up the road, though it's a block from the beach.

Las Gaviotas Suites Hotel
Avenida de la Albufera 51, Urbanización Las Gaviotas

With chic minimalist interiors immaculately presented throughout, Las Gaviotas Suites Hotel is a certainly one of the more stylish properties to be found in Playa de Muro. Its 164 rooms and suites are no exception and offer high-end amenities like Bluetooth systems and quality-brand toiletries, though entry-level rooms are small and a few Suites are prone to traffic noise. The street-front setting isn't ideal, though the resort's lovely beach is a two-minute stroll away. With two main pools (one just for adults), a swish spa, and impressive dining, this is hands-down one of the best hotels in the area. Another stand-out upscale option is the Playa Esperanza just down the road, which is better for families with kids.

Be Live Collection Palace de Muro
Carretera Arta Alcudia Km. 1

The upscale Be Live Collection Palace de Muro is a high-end chain hotel partly built in the form of a Greek temple overlooking the particularly pretty stretch of sand of Playa de Muro. An impressive collection of modern art certainly adds a distinguished flavor to the place, backed up by top-notch facilities such as a decent spa and quality dining. Guests sip chilled Cava reclining on Bali beds overlooking the C-shaped pool, which also offers a poolside bar and whirlpool tub terrace. While some of the 184 rooms lack a lavish finish and bathrooms feel dated, upgrades and suites feature a few luxe perks and some superb sea views. Inevitably its one of the pricier options in the area, but if you're going high-end the nearby Hotel Playa Esperanza is also worth considering with bigger gardens and more pools.

Valentin Playa de Muro
Ctra. Artá-Alcudia, km 23,4 Ma-12 Playa de Muro

Valentin Playa de Muro is a former campsite turned mid-range bungalow complex set in attractive and extensive gardens just outside Can Picafort resort. Although set on a main road, it's surrounded by lush greenery and a few minutes walk from the lovely Playa de Muro beach. The one-bedroom apartments are functional and clean, with cooking facilities and plenty of outdoor space, though bathrooms are small. With two pools (one for training and another for relaxing), plenty of sports facilities, and a summer kids' club, both activity-focused vacationers and families are well catered for. Overall it's a great pick for those who like the independence of self-contained accommodation with a few resort-style features. Nature-lovers should also consider the Exagon Park hotel, where most of its rooms overlook a huge pine forest.
