LABRANDA Les Dunes d'Or
Secteur Balneaire, Agadir 80000, Morocco
Hyatt Regency Casablanca
Place des Nations Unies, Casablanca, Grand Casablanca Region 20000 , Morocco

The 255-room Hyatt Regency Casablanca is an upscale, contemporary hotel in Casablanca's city center near the Old Medina. It offers a wealth of leisure facilities, including an excellent 20-yard pool, 24-hour fitness center, sauna, and hammam steam room. Also on-site are several quality restaurants and bars, including a French brasserie, Moroccan restaurant with belly dancing, and a nightclub. Rooms feature comfy beds and marble baths, but have translucent bathroom doors. Prices are fairly expensive but the hotel is newer, better built, and in better condition than many other Casablanca hotels of its class. The major downsides are that it's not on the ocean and breakfast costs extra. Guests may also want to consider Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche, where rates can be lower, features are similar, and standard rooms are a bit less spartan.

Maison MK
14 Derb Lafkih Sbaai, Quartier Ksour, Medina, Marrakech, Marrakech-Tensift-El Haouz Region 40000, Morocco

Maison MK is luxury riad in the heart of the medina, finished with sophisticated design. It's within a five-minute walk of Djemaa el Fna square, with its fire eaters, jugglers, snake charmers, and nighttime food stalls. With only six rooms, Maison MK is certainly boutique in size as well as vibe. Each room comes with preloaded iPods, iPads, and free cell phones -- not to mention royalty-endorsed beds -- but as in almost all riads, rooms do not have TVs or phones. Spa services, which include the traditional hammam, are administered by a full-time beauty staff. Featuring one of the most renowned restaurants in the city and a panoramic rooftop terrace, it provides stiff competition for the neighboring El Fenn, which has equally high rates. Be aware that Maison MK does not accept children under 12, unless guests reserve the entire riad.

Pullman Marrakech Palmeraie Resort and Spa
Km 6 Route de Fes, BP 658 Gueliz, Marrakech, Marrakech-Tensift-El Haouz Region 40000, Morocco

There's a little bit of everything going on at the all-inclusive, five-pearl Pullman Marrakech Palmeraie Resort and Spa. The resort shines in its activities for children, while adults can chill out in the spa and traditional hammam. Spacious and contemporary rooms include furnished patios or balconies. Large grounds are family-friendly with a big pool, but quiet and relaxing enough for couples or business travelers attending on-site conferences. The food is surprisingly good, though service can be slow and inattentive. Guests can opt for room-only rates, but high food and drink prices make the all-inclusive rates a better deal, especially since there's not many places to eat in the area, and the resort is about a 20-minute ride into town.

Sangho Club Privilege Marrakech
PO Box 1567, Daoudiate, Marrakech, Marrakech-Tensift-El Haouz Region 40000, Morocco

The Sangho Club Privilege Marrakech is an upper-middle-range, secluded, resort-style property situated about a 30-minute drive from Marrakech's medina (the hotel offers a shuttle for a fee). Its 324 rooms, including family rooms and 12 detached suites, feature flat-screen TVs, AC, and furnished balconies or patios, but there's no in-room Wi-Fi. The hotel has three restaurants and a cafe, a bar and nightclub, and offers a free breakfast buffet. Wellness and recreational facilities include indoor, outdoor, and kids' pools, a full-service spa, a small fitness center, and entertainment for kids and adults. Guests find some areas of the hotel dated, but the outdoor pool is luxurious and well kept, with stone waterfalls, a waterslide, and a large terrace with a pool bar. Travelers looking for a more intimate property may prefer Residence Dar Lamia, which has only 38 guest rooms.

Mogador Palace Agdal
Route de l'Ourika, Zone Touristique Agdal, Marrakech, Marrakech-Tensift-El Haouz Region 40000, Morocco

The 610-room Ryad Mogador Agdal is a huge, modern, upscale resort-style hotel located south of the medina next to the Agdal Gardens, about a 15-minute drive to Place de Jamaa el-Fna, with free shuttle service offered to the medina. The spacious rooms open onto balconies, and come with flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, free Wi-Fi, and mini-fridges, although the Wi-Fi signal can be touch-and-go. The two free-form pools are large, and there's two spas with indoor pools, hammams, saunas, and whirlpools, and a vast 24-hour fitness center, an on-site theater, three restaurants, a snack bar and tea salon -- but no alcohol is served on the property. Rates are low for this level of hotel, and the decor is sumptuously superb, but some might find it too vast and impersonal. For a more intimate feel, travelers may want to try the Riad Jona.

Hotel Central
20 Place Ahmad el Bidaoui, Ancienne medina
Hotel Riu Tikida Garden
Circuit de la Palmeraie - BP 1585, Marrakech, Marrakech-Tensift-El Haouz Region 40007, Morocco

Set on several palm tree-studded acres three kilometers east of Marrakech's historic Medina, the Riu Tikida Garden hotel is a family-friendly, all-inclusive resort that's popular primarily with European tourists who want a familiar, comfortable stay within easy access of the city. The 255 guest rooms are decorated simply, and all have air-conditioning, mini-fridges, safes, and flat-screen TVs. The mid-range resort offers a shuttle several times daily to and from the city. Six restaurants and bars guarantee there's plenty to eat, the large swimming pool and extensive sports grounds allow for lots of time in the sun, and entertainment programs are available.

Majestic Hotel
57 Avenue Lalla Yacout, Quartier Liberté
Hotel Du Golf
Circuit De La Palmeraie BP 1488

The 315-room luxury Hotel du Golf is beautifully designed and decorated in an ultra-modern style, with a traditional Moroccan streak. There is a 27-hole golf course on the property in the Palmeraie, as well as a golf club with instruction available, although greens fees are not included in the room rate. The hotel hosts many large groups and conferences, which can make common areas and restaurants feel crowded and chaotic. Rooms are lovely, though, with a sleek design aesthetic, private balconies, and gorgeous bathrooms.
