Scene
Grand restored pink palazzo
The lobby of Ca’Sagredo is full of historic details, from the wood-beamed ceiling to the grand staircase leading upstairs. The high-ceilinged hallways are more like salons, full of artwork (some dating to the 17th and 18th centuries) and sunlight from the tall windows. This refined hotel can feel like a museum, and guests can be found wandering throughout to admire sculpture, frescoes, and Grand Canal views. This palazzo is a national monument, has been carefully restored, and is well-maintained.
Location
On the Grand Canal, near a Vaporetto stop
Ca’Sagredo has a convenient central location in Venice. It is located on the Grand Canal on the Cannaregio side; the Rialto Market is located directly across the canal. A traghetto, or big gondola, crosses the canal to easily reach the Rialto Market. The hotel is in a vibrant neighborhood with many choices for restaurants and bars and is steps from the Ca d’Oro Vaporetto stop. St. Mark's Square is a 12-minute walk.
Rooms
Elegant and luxurious with marble bathrooms
This converted palazzo has huge rooms with plush seating areas and work desks, some with Grand Canal views. Dramatic drapes frame tall windows and beds have elegant tufted headboards. Hardwood floors, gilded mirrors, and thoughtfully stocked minibars are all nice touches. Marble bathrooms are big and have rainforest showerheads. Suites have even higher ceilings with intricate carvings.

The restaurant serves upscale Venetian cuisine; sample menu items include seafood risotto and homemade purple potato gnocchi with gorgonzola cheese. An outdoor terrace has views up and down the Grand Canal. The free breakfast is served in an upstairs salon with original art.
