The Hotel Alpino is an attractive mid-range resort-style property located in a pine forest in the lush countryside outside of Sao Roque, about 10 minutes from the city center. Although not especially modern or upscale, the hotel does offer a fun and relaxing stay with a dash of South American style in a quiet setting. The property's 85 alpine-style rooms have a mixture of whitewashed walls and dark wood trim and some have balconies with views. The wealth of facilities includes a big outdoor pool, a soccer field, tennis and basketball courts, a sauna, a steam room, and a playground. Downsides include a fee for the breakfast buffet and tube-style TVs.
