Best Value Hotels in Cannon Beach, OR

This pet- and kid-friendly property is across from Tolovana Beach State Park at the southern end of Cannon Beach. Many of its 22 rooms have gas fireplaces and full kitchens, and some overlook the ocean (though a parking lot somewhat obscures the views). The Wayside falls squarely into the budget category, so its features are limited to a heated indoor pool and hot tub, plus free Wi-Fi. The hotel is a short walk to the beach, and guests can borrow wagons, blankets, and beach toys.

The Waves is a value property right in the heart of Cannon Beach, with an excellent location -- but few amenities. The 36 rooms range from simple units to two-bedroom condo-style units, many with decks, fireplaces, and kitchens or kitchenettes. On-site amenities are limited to a few DVDs and beach toys in the lobby, and a whirlpool hot tub with beach views. While there's no restaurant, the hotel's location in the middle of quaint Cannon Beach makes it easy to access area eateries.

Hallmark Resort Cannon Beach is a mid-range beachfront hotel with 129 rooms and suites, many of which look right out onto the ocean. Units range from rooms to one- or two-bedroom suites, and there's even a handful of beach houses for rent. The property's biggest selling point is its location right next to the town's iconic Haystack Rock, though it also has good features, including a lovely spa and a couple of saltwater pools. However, it lacks a restaurant -- there's not even a breakfast service. 

The three-pearl Tolovana Inn is a beachside property with 176 rooms, most of which have full kitchens. Some rooms also have gas fireplaces and views of the beach, and the largest units have two bedrooms and can sleep up to six. The hotel is located right on the beach, though it's a bit removed from the main downtown part of Cannon Beach; guests either need to drive there or take the hotel's shuttle. There's also an indoor pool with a hot tub and sauna, but no on-site restaurant.
